The Fitness Beast Journey
The Fitness Beast was inspired by the doctor's words, "there's a chance the medication might work for you." In truth, it was born from desperation and a diagnosis of 2nd progressive Multiple Sclerosis. It's guided by David Fuzes, a formerly obese at 320 pounds, type 1 diabetic, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
The words from the head of neurology, and his doctor who specializes in Multiple Sclerosis echoed through his head, and the thought that medication might have a possible chance of working was devastating to hear, especially to someone who already had to deal with diabetes and the fact that he was obese.
This site is to demonstrate the effects of taking control of one's health and all the good that comes with it. For the moment, David doesn't suffer from any more side effects of having M.S, his diabetes is perfectly controlled, and he now weighs 173 lbs or 78 kgs.
After having taken part in some of the Montreal M.S. Communities activities, David became depressed as what he saw was more of the same, having heard from people much the same rhetoric he had heard from his Doctor: "This medication may work for you; this medication has proven to be very effective in some of the cases of M.S.; There's a chance that you may improve soon enough, but we can't really give you definitive answers because
WE JUST DON'T KNOW."
...and so David began looking into different ways to control his M.S. because up until that point, the only answers he had been getting were chances upon chances, that things may get better. Through that, The Fitness Beast was born.
The Fitness Beast Initiative is to:
Show people that keeping healthy has amazing benefits
That Fitness isn't only to get ripped (though it is a nice ROI for working out)
That keeping active is imperative for health
It doesn't take a Ph.D. or any kind of specialized training to take care of yourself
and finally
To inspire hope that you can take charge of your life and succeed!
“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.”
